CNC-DRV8825
This mini shield driver for stepper motors has to be plugged in RAMPS1.4 shields (3D printers) or CNC V3 Shield. It’s compatible with GRBL and offers a higher operating voltage range than the A4988, which is interesting for some CNC configurations.
The DRV8825 requires a specific power supply (via the CNC Shield, RAMPS1.4, or other), which will also power the stepper motors (the Arduino or clones cards only delivers 5V DC).
Dimensions: 15 mm x 20 mm
Input voltage: 8V to 45V DC (12V recommended)
Input voltage: 3 to 5.5V DC
Overheating protection
Overcurrent protection
Automatic shutdown in case of undervoltage
4-layer PCB to improve heat dissipation
Continuous current per phase: 1.5A
Max current adjustable via an integrated potentiometer: I = 2 x Vref (the current will be equal to 2 times the voltage you read between the potentiometer and the negative - GND) .
Theoretical maximum current per phase: 2.2A (with heatsink and ventilation)
