Aureus® 3X CNC kit, 1000mm version (X and Y axes).

 

The Aureus® 3X CNC is a prototyping milling machine (desktop CNC) , based on the developments of Shapeoko, Shapeoko2 and X-Carve®, designed and developed by Edward Ford, then Inventables, on the basis of profile design « Makerslide » developed by Bart Dring under Creative Common license (CC, NY, SA 3.0).

 

We have modified the CNC by reinforcing the Y-axes and driving them with SFU16 ball screws, allowing for greater precision and stiffness leading to faster machining. The Aureus® 3X CNC, exclusively distributed by Euro Makers, is perfect for prototyping and manufacturing small, medium and large wooden, plastic or aluminum parts. It offers a useful machining surface (where the tool can machine), of 825mm x 790mm x 71mm (X x Y x Z).

The Aureus 3X CNC is full open-source and its assembly and use are very easy.

We offer as standard the Aureus® 3X CNC with AMB 1050 FME-1 milling motor ( or "CNC spindle"), which is an excellent tool, versatile, with a very wide speed range ( 5,000 to 25,000 rpm) and a very good torque. Compared with a Dewalt D26200 spindle (or 611 in the US), this spindle offers a wider speed range that will allow you to machining aluminium in much better conditions.



 

The complete CNC  "Aureus 3X - 1000mm" pack includes:

 

- A "Screws" kit including all the necessary hardware to assemble the machine

 

- A "Structure and Motion" kit including the machine’s structure with 1000mm long X, Y and Z axes (Aluminum profiles, gantries, cable chains, belts, pulleys, V-shaped wheels, etc ...)

 

- A "Wasteboard", with its inserts to fix the clamps.

 

- A "Motorization and Wiring" kit which contains 4 NEMA23 motors, including 2 motors with 19kg of holding torque for the Y axis, as well as associated cables for motors and limit switches

 

- A 1050W AMB Model 1050 FME-1 milling motor or “spindle”

 

- An « Accessories » kit including a toolkit and many accessories to help you to assembling (Allen keys, protective goggles, Valchromat panels, threadlocking adhesive, clamps, set of end mills...)

 

- An « Electronic  kit” with 400W power supply, a complete  GRBL electronic based on a MEGA 2560 card, 4 TB6600 drivers and 2 SSR relays.

Très bonne qualité, "c'est du costaud" !!! Montage assez simple, il suffit de suivre à la lettre les manuels de montage (en français) sans se précipiter. Attention cependant à bien télécharger la dernière version des ces manuels. Quant au SAV il est compétent, disponible et réactif. Le technicien n'hésitera pas à passer du temps, au téléphone, pour expliquer le fonctionnement de la machine, répondre à vos questions et vous aider à résoudre un problème. Bravo !

C'est fou !!!! Et pourtant a l'arrivée ce n'est qu'n tas de vis , de cables, d'ecrous et autres joyeusetés ... mais le resultat en vaut vraiment la peine ... Aux débutants soucieux de savoir si le montage est compliqué ... NON !!!! Il suffit de bien lire la notice et ne pas se précipiter ...

Je suis content de mon investissement. Kit reçu rapidement super bien emballé dans 3 cartons avec des calages mousse. 1 bonne journée pour la monter avec l'aide de la notice détaillée et en Français! J'ai fait mes premières découpes de pièces (Medium puis Aluminium) avec de super résultats. Quelqu'un chez Euro Makers m'a même aidé par téléphone pour vérifier ma première programmation de gcode sur Fusion 360. Je conseil l'Aureus 3X, c'est du costaud. Maintenant j'attends avec impatience le kit d'aspiration pour la poussière.

      Yes, these programs are all compatible with the Aureus 3X CNC. The electronics are based on the open-source GRBL firmware, which is widely distributed, which means that most software publishers now include a GRBL-specific "post-processor". This is particularly the case with Fusion 360, which we recommend to make the most of the CNC.

      Hello, we do not use Inventor Pro at Euro Makers (rather Fusion 360 which is also published by Autodesk). However Inventor Pro is a very complete. In doing a search, it appears that Inventor Pro incorporates Autodesk's "HSM" CAM solution, and that there is an available GRBL post processor. With this post processor, you can prepare your codes and rotate your Aureus 3X CNC. So there is no obstacle to using Inventor Pro to draw and prepare the cut in a continuous flow. Once generated gCode, it will be enough to use the free software (and very simple) Universal Gcode Sender to send the code to the electronic box of the CNC by USB.       Bonjour,

      Nous proposons effectivement un forfait de montage à 400€ H.T pour la machine et son électronique.

      Le soucis avec le pré-assemblage est que le transport deviens beaucoup plus délicat et coûteux. En effet, s'il faut expédier la la machine montée, il faut la livrer à l'intérieur d'une caisse en bois sur mesure de grande dimension qui coûte 220€ H.T (notre prix d'achat), afin de ne pas courir le risque qu'elle soit endommagée durant le transport. Enfin, il faut commander un transport spécifique car la caisse a des dimension en dehors des limites imposées par les transporteurs traditionnels (la poste, DPD, DHL, etc.). Ce coût varie selon la destination et fait l'objet d'un chiffrage.

      Si vous avez la possibilité de venir chercher la machine montée dans notre atelier de La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime : 17), alors vous pouvez réaliser une économie importante (caisse sur mesure et transport). Il faudra un véhicule dans lequel vous pourrez caler la machine dont l'empreinte au sol est de 1200x1200mm.

      Il existe quelques post-processeurs GRBL disponibles pour Solidworks qui peuvent donc générer un gcode 100% compatible avec la CNC Aureus 3X. voici un lien utile: https://github.com/gnea/grbl/issues/237 sur lequel vous pouvez télécharger un de ces post-processeurs.
